Essential #7 - Using and Editing Photos

it took a while to get the photos loaded on my web page, but all eight (8) of them are there!  Phew!  Since I don't have a classroom, I decided to do a sort of "Welcome to Hayes" quick tour, focusing on the entrance and making your way to my office.  Although this is just a quick view of the sign out front, the entrance, the lobby and the entrance to the office; it gave me great insight on how use this could be posted on the main school web site to help visiters get a feel for the layout of our school. It could also be used to feature events and happenings that parents may not have an opportunity to make it to school to see.  Cool . . . feeling comfortable using this application and it really is so user friendly (now becoming a more adept photographer and picture editor.)  :-)

  1. I really like the photos...they really showcase your school. This is a great tool for prospective families to get a feel for your building, and when you post event photos, they can see some of the fun things they do! Maybe all of your staff can take photos next fall when they set up their rooms...when the bulletin boards are fresh and the floors are shiny...then they can post them as a welcome to my classroom tour!

    Terrific job!!

  2. Great job! I think that was a pretty cool idea. It would also be cool for students to something similar. Kind of like a procedure activity. You mentioned how the application is user friendly and how you are feeling more adept at things. I feel that is how it is with most all technology, the more you use it the easier it is. Remember when sending an email (or posting on your blog) seemed so foreign? Now it seems so simple and second nature.

    To quote Carol, "Terrific job!"
